I stayed for one night in a Double Room with Balcony and Sea View while exploring the nearby attractions like the East Icelandic Maritime Museum and Holmanes Nature Reserve. What I really enjoyed was the stunning sea view from my room. The warm room and decent beds contributed to a comfortable stay despite a couple of minor inconveniences like navigating the stairs and needing a key for the lights.

I almost thought this place was worthy of a decent review, until i noticed the locked doors upon arrival and the ridiculousness of needing a key to manage basic lighting. It would have been nice to receive even a simple welcome gift for all my troubles. Truly, such a letdown for an hotel that calls itself a hotel.

Take advantage of the local market nearby for fresh, affordable snacks and essentials.

The warm atmosphere in the room with a beautiful balcony overlooking the fjord. I was thrilled to find fast WiFi for work and excellent shower pressure after a long day exploring. The breakfast was delicious, filled with fresh, locally sourced produce, and it was constantly replenished during the meal!

I appreciated the spaciousness of the Family Room. It had decent beds. The room was warm. The location is great for accessing local hiking trails and sightseeing. The staff member, Eva, was friendly and accommodating, offering dinner suggestions and local tips. I found the hotel's layout a bit challenging. The entry doors were locked upon arrival, which caused a bit of confusion. Navigating the stairs was tough, especially with luggage. We also had an issue with the key being needed for room lights. Minor inconveniences like these could be improved for an easier experience.
